Research opportunities could include: Biomedical applications; real time vascular imaging; heart imaging of ischemia/ myocardial infarction; embedded software; data protection; e-Learning using virtual environments and multimedia; image processing and computer visualisation; legal issues and software patents; networking; security and forensic computing; gaming and animation.
How much will it cost?
Research fees for 2007/08: full-time fee £3675; part-time £1850; MPhil/PhD by published work: £900 initial registration plus £2475 full registration; Professional Doctorates, in Health & the Built Environment: £3325, whilst the part-time Education Doctorate (EdD) fees: £1700. The Business Administration Doctorate has an initial registration fee of £7725 (diminishing in later years).
Entry Requirements
Normally, a good honours degree in a relevant discipline and/ or alternative qualifications/ experience deemed to be equivalent. Applicants for whom English is not a first language will be expected to demonstrate a level of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
